Fiberglass rebar & mesh for concrete

Buy fiberglass rebar

Fiberglass rebar is used throughout the world – in the US, Canada, Japan and European countries – since 1970th. The progressive countries in the last century realized how much benefit the use of fiberglass rebar can bring. We offer rebar with diameters from 4 to 22 mm. It is possible to manufacture rebar up to 32 mm at the individual request of the customer.

Reinforcing fiberglass mesh

Composite (fiberglass) mesh is used to reinforce floors, roads, airports and other concrete structures. This is an equally strong replacement of a steel mesh. We offer a mesh with different openings: 50 * 50 mm, 100 * 100mm,  150 * 150 mm, 200*200 mm and 300*300 mm. It is possible to manufacture mesh opening size up to 400*400 mm at the individual request of the customer. The available wire diameters: 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm and 8 mm. Supplied in rolls or sheets.

Mesh for bricks or concrete blocks

Masonry mesh is used to reinforce masonry of houses from blocks and bricks.Wire diameter – 2 mm. Supplied in rolls with several widths options – 20 cm, 25 cm, 33 cm or 50 cm. If you need another width, you can buy a 1m-width roll and cut it with cutting pliers.

About us

Who we are and our advantages

KOMPOZIT 21 is one of the biggest producer in Russia. We produce over 4 mln meters of rebar and 0.4 mln m2 of mesh annualy. Our advantages are: low prices, high quality of raw materials and strict quality control. We deliver products all over the world.

Light weight

Frp rebar is 8 times lighter than steel, which reduces the overall weight of the structure and the load on the foundation without loss of strength.

Eco-friendly

Frp rebar is safe for human health and does not contain harmful radionuclides. Safety of our product is confirmed by hygienic certificate.

Save up to 50%

You significantly reduce сosts even if you subsitute metal with the same diameter of rebar. Moreover, if you consider replaement by strength the savings will amount up to 50%.

Save shipping cost

You save on delivery due to light weight of rebar. 3000 meters of frp rebar fit into the trunk of a car. This quantity is sufficient to reinforce the slab foundation of a medium-sized house.

Energy efficiency

You will decrease expenses on maintainance of the building. The building reinforced with fiberglass rebar require less heating than the one with steel reinforcement.

Durability

You build for many years! Due to the high chemical and corrosion resistance of reinforcing composite materials, the service life of fiberglass rebar in concrete is over 100 years (compared with steel analogues).

Dielectric

You use an armored frame from a dielectric that does not conduct electricity, and so you get an increase in radio transparency and reducing the influence of electromagnetic fields

Low thermal conductivity

You build a building without "cold bridges", because the fiberglass reinforcement does not conduct heat, unlike steel. For countries with a cold climate, the problem of heat losses and freezing of walls, floors and foundations is especially urgent.

Easy installation

You simplify the process of cutting and mounting and reduce labor costs. Any worker can handle frp rebar with a minimal set of tools and efforts.

Fiberglass Rebar Vs Steel Rebar

Fiberglass rebar

0.7$/per meter (10 mm rebar)

  • Corrosion Resistance. Resistant to wide range of chemicals and stable when immersed in water.
  • Strength. Minumum valuse is 1000 MPa.
  • Weight. 8 times lower less than steel. Easy to transport.
  • Installation. Easy to cut. No welding is required.
  • Thermal Properties. Does not conduct heat. Thermal conductivity - 0.35 W/m*°C.
  • Cost. Low price, cheap delivery and long service life, which overall reduce project cost.
  • Electrical Conductivity. Does not conduct electricity.
  • EMI/RFI Transparency. Do not interfere with radio signals and wireless networks. Great for areas with radars, antennas, electrical cabinets and MRI rooms.
  • Modulus of Elasticity - 55 GPa

Steel rebar

2.21$/per meter (10 mm rebar)

  • Oxidation and corrosion are possible. Requires a protective coating in corrosive environments.
  • Tensile strength - 390 MPa.
  • You may need special equipment for lifting and a large truck for transportation.
  • Welding and cutting with special tools are required.
  • Conducts heat. The coefficient of thermal conductivity is 12 times higher - 25 W/m*°C.
  • High maintainance cost
  • Conducts electricity
  • Interferes with EMI / RFI signals.
  • Modulus of Elasticity - 200 GPa
